Respiratory Protection Policy (Respirator Inspection - Respirator Certification )

RESPIRATOR INSPECTION

The concentration of the hazard will be monitored before respirator selection and periodically

thereafter to ensure that the correct respirators are being utilized.

MONITORING OF THE RESPIRATORY HAZARD RESPIRATOR MAINTENANCE

Maintenance will be performed on a regular basis. It shall include:

a) Washing, sanitizing, rinsing, and drying.

b) Inspection

c) Replacement of worn or damaged parts

d) Proper storage

RESPIRATOR CERTIFICATION

A physician shall certify all employees that they are physically fit to wear a respirator before

they are assigned to use one.

Employees will be re-certified, as physicians require.
