SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS (SCBA’S)
SCBA’s may be used for Permit Required Confined Space Entry, if applicable. They will be
inspected on a regular basis, and are sanitized before and after use. The SCBA training video
will be viewed twice a year by all personnel.
If a confined space or enclosed area cannot be avoided, and the space or area has been tested to
contain toxic gas or vapors, or the oxygen content is too low, entry into the space or area is
prohibited unless the person (s) entering are properly wearing and have been properly trained in
the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
NEVER ENTER A CONFINED SPACE OR ENCLOSED AREA THAT HAS BEEN TESTED
TO CONTAIN A FLAMMABLE OR EXPLOSIVE MIXTURE THAT IS TOO HIGH.
